Meet Our Web Development Team
Last November, St. Charles Borromeo School Student Council and I attended the Cyber Crime Prevention Symposium sponsored by the Inter-Agency Council on Abuse and Neglect (ICAN) , Cyber Crime Prevention Subcommittee (CCPS), along with numerous law enforcement. The students attended a series of classes on internet safety and social media. While teachers, administrators, and parents listened to a series of guest speakers on such topics: online predators and cyber bullying.
The student council's responsibility at St. Charles is to mentor to the other kids at school and to guide them in the right direction. Our web development team consists of seventh and eighth grade student council members:
As the Computer Teacher at St. Charles School, teaching digital citizenship to my students is a priority. The Internet is accessible on many devices and a common necessity for our children. Our children are being looked to as the the leaders in the future of technology. It is necessary to teach them digital etiquette, warn about the dangers of online predators, and give them the tools on how to properly use this ever changing technology.
It was an privilege to work with these students, who are responsible empowering young adults with leadership skills that will impact the world.
Enjoy
