- Do not talk to strangers or give your personal information away while texting.
- Be careful of what you send to others. For example, do not send inappropriate pictures or messages. Also, if someone sends you inappropriate images or messages, do not respond.
- If you are getting unwanted messages, block the number and if necessary change it.
- Remember none of your messages are completely private. Your parents, police, and other authorities can recover your messages, even if you got rid of them.
- If anyone you know, Is experiencing harmful experiences involving texting, let a trusted adult know.
